Sunday in #NewYork. Walking and eating, two things that I’m great at. #afamishedfoodie #newyorkcity #centralparkWhat’s in your glass tonight? Currently watching this Turkish show called Lovebird, which is such a soap opera, but I kind of like it. However, not too long ago, I had a #Madiran in my glass. As I said to a friend, it kinda smelled like a freshly opened can of paint (not in a bad way), and started out jammy and ended with a wham. Stay warm tonight- glass of #wine or no! #afamishedfoodie #wineblogAs a relatively younger person that is “into” #wine, I still feel a little weird when I open up bottles that are older than I am. However, I am totally fine opening bottles that may have been produced before I could drink but after 1992. This bottle I received from @ackerwines during a #winestudio session is one I will discuss on my blog soon. However, I have to say that if you’re into #oldworld wine and can get your hands on this Chateau La Tour Carnet, you should do so. Don’t drink the entire bottle in one go because it was even better on the second day! #afamishedfoodie #wineblog #wineloverSomeone I follow posted about a trip to #Portugal and it reminded me of the trip I took with @emdellafera when we were studying in Spain. We spent five days in #Lisbon (which was definitely a little too long), and stayed at one of the nicest hostels I’ve ever seen. My favorite part was our day trip to #Sintra, which had beautiful architecture, a ton to explore, and was less than an hour away from the city. #afamishedfoodie #travelOn a chilly day like today, this is just the kind of photo that makes me long for summer. Although I do love this season the best, you just don’t get these kinds of #PinotGris shots in Philadelphia in January. Check out my most recent blog about @wairauriverwines and thanks to @terlatowines for letting me use these photos for it. #afamishedfoodie #wine #wineblogThis past summer, a bunch of my friends and I went to @hiddenhillsfarmandvineyard to celebrate a birthday. Located in Frederick, #Maryland, this was such a unique visit. One, it is a very intimate tasting room where I felt totally at home. Two, we never felt rushed or like we had to quickly down sample after sample to keep things moving. And three, we got to meet some of the horses they board on the property. This #rosé was by far my favorite. Beautiful color, bright red fruits on the palate, and enough backbone to keep it interesting for the summer months. Totally recommend a visit if you’re in the area, but I’m also 99% sure you need to make an appointment beforehand. #afamishedfoodie #wine #wineblogTweet Tweet
